Warning - WordPress users - scrapers are afoot
February 21, 2008 by littlebigwords
VICTORY IS MINE!!! As of March 10, 2008 this website has been removed, by the domain hosting service I would imagine. Of course its owner could have moved elsewhere, but it’s a victory nonetheless!
============================================================================================================
It has come to my attention that dating dot anything08 dot com (because this site stole my content, and has done the same to countless others) will scrape absolutely any post that is tagged dating, or anything to do with “date” at all - it even shows up in internet searches as having pinged technical blogs that have nothing to do with its theme of dating. I don’t think there is any original content on this site - just countless scraped posts that are mainly fictitiously labeled as authored by “information on dating | dating“
If you are a WordPress.com user, you have fewer choices because you can’t add plug-ins, and reporting is a bit more challenging. These untalented thieves have opted to use WordPress.org openware, giving much more free rein
So my advice to you: resist the urge to tag your posts with dating - try something close enough but dissimilar. And if you do anyway, don’t say I didn’t warn you. I also recommend investigating this link:

I have discovered who’s hosting these chumps, and you can direct your complaints to

First thing is first, I would discourage linking or referencing the URL in any way that could be recognized by a search engine. Though not likely to help them obtain higher search results, I’d rather be safe than sorry.
Second, have you considered filing a DMCA notice with either the host or the search engines? The article you link to provides some decent information on how to do that and I’d be willing to help if I can.
Just let me know what I can do to help. You can reach me at plagiarismtoday dot com.
Hope that you’re doing well and good luck with resolving this.
